Pick of the Week: The Civil Wars
I’ve been a fan of Joy Williams for a while, so when I heard she was starting a new project, I couldn’t wait to check it out. She partnered together with a very talented artist named John Paul White, and The Civil Wars was born. With their flawless harmonies and haunting melodies, it’s hard to not fall in love with this duo. I just got to see them live at their sold out show at The Wiltern recently, and I’m convinced they can’t hit a bad note. Even cooler is the fact that they are unsigned. Oh and just nominated for two grammys. Whatever. NO BIG DEAL..!!!! Check them out HERE on itunes. And help me in my search to find ONE thing wrong with this band.

I can find one bad thing about them…they dont have enough cds out yet. But i had the chance to see them at the fillmore in SF and they were incredible. Found out about them about a year ago and cant stop listening to them. Their sound is just so pure and raw and soooooooo good.
